A majority of differential amplifiers are used to properly drive the input of a high-speed ADC. Properly interfacing a small analog signal to a high-speed, high resolution ADC without introducing additional noise and distortion is a critical challenge. The MCP6D11 is designed specifically to address this challenge, providing a low noise, low distortion, high accuracy interface to properly drive the ADC, such as Microchip’s series, the MCP331x1D. Other uses for differential amplifiers includes fully differential filters as well as differential line drivers.
