As noted earlier, the MCP6D11 provides a low noise, low distortion solution in order to preserve the small analog signal of interest while properly driving the ADC. The 90 MHz of bandwidth provides the speed necessary to ensure that the input of the ADC is properly settled prior to sampling. This is very important and can be challenging for high-speed ADCs. Finally, the MCP6D11 uses a novel trimming technique to provide very low input offset error, which again helps to preserve the integrity of the small analog signal that is being measured.
