This slide shows the Microstick for 3V PIC24 K-series development tool. It is a small, USB powered development tool that supports the PIC24 Lite devices, including both the PIC24F “KL” and PIC24 “KA” families of 16-bit MCUs. Any 3V PIC24 Lite device in a 28-pin SPDIP package can be inserted into the device under test socket of this Microstick. It features everything developers need to get started designing with the PIC24 Lite products, including an integrated programmer and debugger, reset button, user and power LEDs, along with demo code, and MPLAB support. The board is about the size of a stick of gum, approximately 20mm x 69mm in footprint. This tool can be used standalone or inserted into a standard prototyping board for expansion and additional development. It can also be plugged into Microchip’s 16-bit XLP development board. The kit ships with a USB cable, two 1x14 headers for proto board use or for plugging into the 16-bit XLP development board, and two sample devices, the 28-pin SPDIP package versions of the PIC24F16KL402 and PIC24F16KA102 microcontrollers.
