At the heart of the “KL” family is the PIC24 core, which delivers up to 16 MIPS. These devices come with up to 16kB of Flash, up to 1kB of RAM, and up to 512B EEPROM. The device integrates PIC24 features such as Timer 0, UART, watchdog timer, programmable HLVD, and low power brown out reset, along with a standard PIC24 pinout for power, ground and core pins. It also features flexible peripherals including MSSP, CCP, and enhanced CCP modules, along with timers, and in some cases it includes analog features such as a 10-bit, up to 12-channel A/D Converter, and dual rail to rail comparators.
