A comparison of the available analog output designs available in the market is shown on this slide. The All Discretes approach is not included in this table. For the Programmable DAC approach, suppliers A and B do not provide all signal and diagnostics modes on their analog output reference design. Also, a customer would be required to furnish their own dual or triple output power supply, a means of signal capture with either a digital multimeter or oscilloscope, and cabling in order to evaluate the kits. Supplier B requires a customer to build it on their own, expending time and resources to make an evaluation. For the DAC + driver approach, suppliers A and B have similar shortfalls as previously mentioned.
