Many of today’s systems require three essential characteristics: Broadband performance, higher power, and small size. It is difficult to accommodate all three of these characteristics in one solution. Many of today’s technologies can provide broadband performance and size but lack power handling performance, or conversely can provide power handling but lack broadband performance and are larger in size. The HMIC technology allows for all three of these important features into one chip scale device.
