Ethernet interfaces are among the fastest growing in the information industry. Once used to simply connect a few computers into a rather short Local Area Network (LAN), Ethernet is now used to carry telephone and video information as well over LANs. Furthermore, it is being deployed not only as a data pipe, but as a power delivery system as well. Once found indoors in computer centers, Ethernet cables now are found running throughout buildings, to the basement, to the roof and out into the parking lot. Since its inception, the data rates driven over Ethernet systems have increased a thousand-fold. Littelfuse offers a full suite of products to protect Ethernet circuits from just about any electrical threat in any installation. As Ethernet continues to evolve and grow into a wider and wider range of applications, regulatory bodies are also putting their requirements on these networks. This training module will help to design-in Littelfuse solutions into just about any Ethernet application.
