The other half of this product line is based on mounted solutions: bolt-down and fuse block solutions. As mentioned with inline holders, these products are specific to the type of fuse held. The current of the circuit would determine the fuse, and the fuse determines the holder. There do exist holders here for some lower current fuses, but generally, these types of holder cater to higher current fuse types such as MIDI, MEGA, and ZCASE. To protect these higher current circuits, larger fuses are needed, and larger amounts of copper and surface area are required to protect and mount these types of elements. As the name implies, these are physically mounted onto some sort of frame or box, so such products are much more common early in the design process These require dedicated mounting hardware and secured installation and serviceability clearance within an application. The engineer or customer designing such products in will need to calculate the system electrical requirements and will adjust the wire size and termination prior to designing these products in. These products are meant to have universal acceptance of different wire gauges and terminals. Again, differentiated by fuse count, sealing, ignition protection certification, or presence of a cover, these product variants cater to many of the common set-up required of such fuses. The ZCASE fuse, which is proprietary to Littelfuse, offers unique holder solutions that require limited hardware and installation surface area.
