The fuse holder portfolio available is divided into two varieties: inline and bolt-downs, or fuse blocks. The difference is in the name and the actual form factor of the product also changes as a result. Both of these larger descriptors are broken out into families, described by the fuse product they hold. There are differences amongst these based on some other attributes like sealing, color, covers, and details around mounting hardware. Ultimately though, series are going to be driven by the fuses needed, which is primarily dictated by the current and ratings associated with the application or circuit requiring protection. Both types are ideal for quick additions of circuit protection, though fuse blocks require a little more foresight and layout planning. Inline holders are smaller, single fuse products that are of a lower system cost, and hold many lower current fuses. Bolt-down, or fuse block solutions generally do cater to higher amperage fuses (which are bolt-down fuses), but also include accommodates for glass and blade fuses also. These products are physically larger and as a result of their larger size and material requirements, their cost is slightly higher.
