In summary, the EN29A0QI is a highly integrated PowerSoC optimized for powering noise sensitive loads such as transceivers, high speed I/O and RF applications, which require tight DC and AC tolerance. PowerSoC devices integrate the controller, MOSFETS, inductor, and high frequency bypass capacitors to provide a low noise, low ripple, easy to use power conversion solution. The EN29A0QI offers very tight DC accuracy combined with remote ground sense to meet the challenging tolerance requirements for high speed transceivers. The inductor is sized to provide very low output switching ripple while the package is designed for low EMI. The loop topology is based on low impedance voltage mode control combined with a high-performance error amplifier for excellent transient performance. The wide bandwidth loop, combined with the low impedance voltage mode control can enable a significant reduction of expensive bulk decoupling capacitors.
