One of the benefits of an intermediate bus converter solution based on EC2650QI is its small form factor and high power density. Intel® is able to achieve a very high power density integrating up to 36W into 150mm². It is an ideal solution for space constraint and densely populated PCBs. Because there is no inductor needed (which typically dominates the solution height), EC2650 can achieve a solution height of just 0.9mm, so the solution fits even very height restricted applications.
