This slide shows the development ecosystem enabled by the 6ED2742S01Q evaluation board. A MADK control card that comes along with the 6ED2742 evaluation board provides the control signals required for the 6ED2742S01Q to drive the OptiMOS^™ MOSFETs. Customers can use the 6ED2742S01Q evaluation board to quickly run a given motor in an application. Here a typical off-the-shelf grinder power tool’s motor phases are brought out, the motor inductances and resistance characterized and then fed to the iMOTION^™ or XMC microcontroller software to tune the control parameters and run the motor with the 6ED2742S01Q evaluation board. The evaluation board enables customers to access various test points to probe the different functions of the 6ED2742S01Q. It is an easy-to-use board for a thorough evaluation of the gate driver.
