The 6ED2742S01Q is a 160V gate driver capable of driving MOSFETs in a three-phase inverter configuration, driving a brushless DC (BLDC) motor. The 6ED2742S01Q has an integrated power management unit (PMU) consisting of a linear pre-regulator that steps down input voltages between 6V to 140V and feeds the charge pump that provides a stable V_CC of 12V to drive the MOSFETs. The 6ED2742S01Q operates with a wide input voltage, making it suitable to use for many battery voltages such as 10.8V up to 96V. The 6ED lowers the system level bill of material cost with an integrated PMU, monolithic bootstrap diodes, I_TRIP, a current sense amplifier, and trickle charge pumps.
