A comprehensive range of shell housings supports the integration of cable mounted connectors into the rack system. Plastic housings are offered for types D, E, F, H, and MH. For improved EMC performance the D20 shell housing is offered in either metallized, plastic, or full metal types, available for types F, H, and MH. The metallized versions are lightweight which reduces stress on the PCB, especially in high vibration applications. The full metal versions deliver the most robust solution with improved cable braid fixing. The D20 housing has been widely adopted in the Rail industry for both on-vehicle and trackside applications. A coding comb can be added to the housings to prevent the possibility of mating to the wrong connector.
