vout 1.372
The output is now running at 1.4 V, but notice that the current through the resistive load has increased from 2 A to 2.4 A. The immediate feedback can be very useful. Maybe not on a simple load resistor, but if this were an FPGA running code, the relationship between current consumption and voltage set point is valuable and powerful. This same capability can be used in a batch mode to query a running system and identify the power consumption to voltage set point, allowing for rapid characterization and optimization. Likewise, the feature can be used to implement AVS (adaptive voltage scaling) to minimize power consumption or increase performance as needed.
