The USB-ICP is available in three different versions. Each of these versions supports a different family of microcontrollers which will be covered later in this presentation. The programmer is powered by the USB port so no external power supply is required and is also USB 2.0 compatible. The USB-ICP incorporates a two-wire serial interface to program and erase ISP and ICP enabled microcontrollers without removing them from their target system.
