PowerXR only requires 9mA to power the part versus 120mA in other products. Through MaxLinear's design software called Power Architect, the output voltages can be dynamically controlled, as well as the ability to monitor voltage and current. A good tip is in situations that require additional monitoring, but only three outputs are required, designers have used one of the output voltage inputs to monitor a fourth voltage. There is infinite sequencing capabilities and some conditional fault handling. There is a large register set, which is fully configurable by the user, and also the ability to synchronize from part to part, so all of these parts can be operating at the same frequency in the system.
