Here is an example of the four channel XRP7714. On the right hand side are the power components, input capacitors, FETs, the components required to drive the FETs, inductors and upper capacitors. Those components are common to every single switching regulator, however a lot of the other components that users are used to seeing such as soft start capacitors, compensation components, and multiple bypass capacitors are not there. In this case on the left hand side there are really only two bypass capacitors, one for the internal 5V and one for the internal 1.8V, so it is a very low component count.
