This slide defines some of the PSoC’s specific Terms that will be used in this presentation. The first one is PSoC Creator, the Integrated Design Environment for PSoC 3, PSoC 4, and PSoC 5LP. It is a software that installs on a PC and allows concurrent hardware and firmware design of PSoC systems or hardware configuration and export to popular IDEs. Components are free embedded ICs represented by an icon in PSoC Creator. These can be used to integrate multiple ICs and system interfaces into one PSoC. The user can drag and drop components as icons for their system design in PSoC Creator. Component Configuration tools are simple graphical user interfaces in PSoC Creator that are embedded in each Component. This can be used to customize component parameters and is accessed by right-clicking a Component. CapSense is Cypress’ touch-sensing interface solution. SmartSense Auto-tuning is an algorithm that enables CapSense buttons to continuously compensate for system, manufacturing, and environmental changes. SmartSense Auto-tuning eliminates the need for manual tuning.
