This slide gives two examples of indoor directional applications using the MK-R LED. A MR16 designed with the MK-R LED can deliver 535 lm and 1,500 cd using only 6 W, with a system efficacy of 87 lm/W. This system delivers the light equivalent to a standard 35 W halogen MR16 using 80% less energy. A PAR38 designed with the MK-R can produce 1,215 lm and 3,400 cd using only 19 W with a system efficacy of 68 lm/W. This system produces the light equivalent to a standard 90 W PAR Lamp using 80% less energy. The MK-R LED is a high efficacy LED that can be used for 35-90 W halogen replacements. Its small optical source delivers more punch than chip-on-board arrays which traditionally have much larger source sizes.
