PCI Express technology is used to link  an SSI compute blade to an SSI mezzanine card. The 120-position primary connector enables 8 PCI Express Gen2 lanes, each lane operating at 5 GT/s (Giga Transfers per second). The connector also supports all required power and sideband signals. The optional 80-position expansion connector can be used to provide 8 additional PCI Express lanes. FCI’s BergStak 0.8mm mezzanine connectors offer an alternative to a competitor’s connectors that appear in the SSI specifications. This part number table lists the equivalent FCI part numbers for each interface.
