In this slide, the PwrBlade cable I/O products will be explored. This cable-to-board solution includes power cables which are used in power delivery and power distribution applications where cables are preferred versus power distribution boards. Like the board mount product, it is highly configurable and integrates DC and AC power contacts plus standard signal contacts into a single molded housing. It also incorporates a modular tooling approach so customers can specify the exact number of power and signal contacts for their particular application without the need for additional tooling which saves both leadtime and cost. Its current rating is similar to the board-to-board PwrBlade product, 48A/contact for an individual contact and 30A/contact for 10 adjacent contacts without exceeding a 30°C temperature rise in still air. It also has three level of mating within the power and signal contacts for grounding as well as hot swap applications.
