Molex mini-fit sigma connectors have an operating temperature up to 105oC, offer a double crimp tool and are available in board-to-board, wire-to-board and wire-to-wire configurations. OEMs in a wide range of industries including automotive, consumer, home appliances, and medical require increasingly high current, high density and high power connectors that also support design flexibility. The panel mount ears in mini-fit sigma connectors provide safety and stability of housing to the pane. The recommended panel cutouts for these ears are 0.89 to 3 millimeters thick with cut-out tolerances of .1 millimeter. The seal cap offers excellent support for the rubber cap that mounts around the back of the housing. Mini-fit sigma connectors have keying and polarization for accurate matings to standard mini-fit 4.2 power connectors. This reduces the number of parts to be purchased and inventoried. The robust latch design provides superior retention. Incorrectly assembled connectors can lead to terminal back-outs, causing end-product failure. The impact of terminal back-outs can result in liability costs to manufacturers and harm to individuals.
