Shown here are the key features of the Kintex® UltraScale+™ devices. 16 G and 28 G backplane-capable transceivers enable increased system performance while fractional PLL integration enables a reduction in BOM cost. Features to protect IP and prevent tampering are AES-GCM decryption, RSA-2048 authentication, differential power attack countermeasures, and improved single event upset performance. Enhanced DSP slices enable a massive jump in fixed- and floating-point performance. Up to 6.3 TeraMACs of bandwidth are possible at 891 MHz operation. The Kintex UltraScale+ has ASIC-class 100 G Ethernet MAC and 150 G Interlaken cores for breakthrough performance in packet processing. The Ethernet MAC has KR4 Reed-Solomon forward error correction (or RS-FEC for short). Kintex UltraScale+ devices have integrated PCI Express blocks supporting up to Gen3x16 and Gen4x8, which can be configured as end point or root port.
