In summary, the WE-HCF and WE-HCFT product families respond to a higher current capability demand present in the market with very sharp tendencies sometimes related to the automotive sector, but also in the industrial market, which these two series have been mainly designed for. Due to the global standardization and variety of core sizes and types, the WE-HCF and WE-HCFT series allow any new requirement from the customer side to be achieved. Würth Elektronik follows the AEC-Q200 standard, Grade 1, for every WE-HCF and WE-HCFT product. This guarantees the reliability and robustness of the industrial sector customer to the automotive one who has naturally required more strict reliability tests. To meet the needs of the customer, Würth Elektronik provides not only different package sizes, but also various solutions with different wire types. Flat, round, or litz wire inductors are available as a standard solution for alleviating losses when high currents, high ripples, or high frequencies are expected. Lastly, the design of the WE-HCF and WE-HCFT product families has been considered to reduce not only DC or AC losses, but also any undesired interference with the rest of the components on the board. This is possible by designing from both an electrical and magnetic perspective from the beginning; therefore, most of the EMC issues are also being considered and prevented in advance.
