Every Weidmüller product is designed with safety as the first priority, even down to the smallest detail.  In order to prevent injury during handling, the plugs are manufactured with rounded edges.  Use of a widened entry point allows even wires with ferrules and plastic collars to be fully inserted, eliminating exposed conductors.  This feature also insures minimum creepage and clearance distances are met, allowing the BLF to operate at higher voltages than similar plugs.  A dual metal tulip contact provides maximum performance and reliability in the BLF.  Material with excellent spring characteristics is used in the contact area and married to a current bar made from low resistance metal resulting in a contact system with no compromises.
