The VCNL4035X01 is Vishay’s next generation gesture sensor incorporating proximity and ambient light sensing photodiodes, a multiplexer, signal conditioning IC and I²C interface.  It can drive up to three external emitters. One emitter will enable proximity sensing, two emitters will enable simple gesture sensing, and three emitters will provide better resolution for simple gestures or possibly more intricate gestures. The VCNL4035X01 incorporates proximity and ambient light photodiodes, multiplexer, signal conditioning and I²C interface.
