The PTCEL is AEC-Q200 qualified for automotive applications. UL recognition is expected in 2021. The component can absorb high energy up to 240 Joules in one load dump and can handle over 100,000 inrush power cycles. It is highly resistant against non-switching peak power of up to 25kW and 2kV voltage surges. It is self-protecting and resetting in case of overload with no risk of overheating.
