Common design problems engineers face are presented on this slide. Today’s design engineers are facing complex problems that need to be solved quickly, efficiently, and at effective costs. For these reasons, designers are increasingly relying on simulation tools to achieve the goal of accurately predicting the behavior of their design. Designers simulate the analog/digital portion of their application in the environment of their EDA, but now more than ever, they need to take account of the thermal effects like self-heating or external temperature variation. Beyond this aspect, they also need to model the interaction between this thermal engineering and the electronics. This requires use of temperature sensors in order to keep their application within the appropriate temperature boundaries. Vishay simulation models and applications provide the opportunity to do all this within one environment.
