The Liger is ideal for applications requiring an embedded computer with a PC/104-Plus bus expansion, which is also very fast, reliable and has a long production life. In addition, it comes equipped with a Kaby Lake dual-core CPU and graphics engine, remote management capabilities, numerous high-speed interconnects, as well as flexible expansion and storage options. The Liger computer is based on the popular VersaLogic EPMe-42 “Lion” Single Board Computer. The name Liger was chosen as this product is made up of two parts: it is one-half Lion (the SBC CPU module) combined with an interface adapter board. The interface adapter provides the Legacy ISA bus and passes through the PCI bus from the Lion to make the PC/104-Plus expansion. The Liger contains an on-board TPM security chip that can lock out unauthorized hardware and software access. It provides a secure “Root of Trust.” Additional security is provided through built-in AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) instructions.
