The output circuitry consists of a three resistor voltage divider and two op amps configured as comparators. The voltage divider is used to generate a 1/3 Vcc and a 2/3 Vcc voltage reference for the comparators. As shown in the thresholds diagram, the upper comparator switches Low when the sensor output increases above 2/3 Vcc while the lower comparator switches Low when the senor output decreases below 1/3 Vcc. If the sensor output remains within the center bias region, both comparators will output a logical High.
