The OCB100CZ board consists of three main sections: the biasing circuit section, the optical sensor section, and the signal output section. This board can be wired directly to almost any optical device with an LED and phototransistor because it eliminates the need to calculate the LED current limiting resistor and the phototransistor load resistance. In addition, by center biasing the sensor output, the circuit also compensates for manufacturing variations, temperature changes, and aging of optoelectronic sensors.
