Cables and Connectivity Portfolio Slide 5

Take advantage of the latest in USB and FireWire technology. Since all USB and FireWire cables are backward compatible, it ensures that cabling investments will always keep pace with technology. Tripp Lite's "SuperSpeed" USB 3.0 cables deliver up to 10 times faster data transfer rates compared to "Hi-Speed" USB 2.0 cables (5 Gbps versus 0.485 Gbps). This makes SuperSpeed cables ideal for faster access to external storage media, such as flash drives or external drives. SuperSpeed cables are fully backwards compatible with USB 2.0 devices, so users can take advantage of the blazing transfer speed when it is using the latest USB 3.0 devices, while still being able to take full advantage of the existing USB 2.0 devices. Since the majority of devices deployed still use the USB 2.0 spec, Tripp Lite offers a full line of cables, hubs, and adapters. Hubs link multiple USB devices to one computer. Adapters link USB and non-USB computers and peripherals. USB Sharing Switches allow up to four computers to share one printer. Hard Drive Enclosures allow users to access data while traveling. PCI Cards add high-performance FireWire capability or extra USB ports to a computer. USB-Over-Cat5 Extenders increase the distance users can operate USB devices, surpassing the 16 foot (5 m) limitations of standard USB cabling and extending up to 150 feet (46 m) using Cat5 cabling. Tripp Lite's line of FireWire cables include ones that adhere to the latest 1394b spec (and provide up to 800 Mbps transfer speed) as well as the older 1394a spec (which provides up to 400 Mbps transfer speed).
