Designed for industrial environments, all models of the TIB-EX family are safety qualified to UL Hazloc Class 1 / Division 2, and ATEX (EN60079-0, -7 and-15) for operation in hazardous locations. The UL Hazloc certification is important in North American applications where potentially explosive situations or flammable gases may be present under abnormal operating conditions. The ATEX approval is a similar certification based on European directives and has a wide international acceptance.  Additional safety approvals include EN/UL 60950-1, UL508 Listed and CB Report with EMC compliance to EN61000-6-2 and EN61000-6-3 for EMC immunity. All models also meet the strict requirements of EN61373 for shock and vibration for railway and rolling stock applications. For EMC interference, the series conforms to both EN55032 and EN55011 class B standards for both conducted and radiated emissions.
