Shown here is a visual image of the radiation noise profile of the Torex XCL206 versus a typical DC/DC converter and separate inductor. The XCL206 has a structure where the inductor is placed on top of the IC. The inductor covers the IC and helps prevent radiation noise leakage. This is a structural advantage when compared to a typical DC/DC converter, as well as other built-in-inductor-type devices which typically have a structure where the inductor and IC are placed in parallel on the same substrate.
