Allowing a low-cost development platform is really important to TI. The newest BeagleBoard open source development community has introduced the BeagleBone, a brand new development board that is based off the AM335x ARM Cortex-A8 microprocessors and enables very easy evaluation and development on AM335x microprocessors. It is so small, it literally fits into an Altoids® box and provides a host of I/O connection options. With a single cable and 10-second Linux boot, development can begin in five minutes out of the box! With a host of I/O support from the open source development community, as well as the BeagleBoard.org community, designers are never designing alone.
