The PGA308 takes the low level output of a bridge sensor and adjusts it’s offset and gain to produce a high level signal. For example, a typical bridge sensor could have a signal output ranging from 1mV to 7mV. The PGA308 can be configured to amplify this signal to 0.5V to 4.5V. The PGA309 would also be able to compensate for the temperature drift and nonlinearity issues of the sensor, greatly improving the accuracy of the measurements being made.
