The CoolSplice connectors are high quality inline splices. The CoolSplice connector New Standard is designed to work with solid and stranded wire size of 18 to 22 AWG. Similarly but for larger wire size, the CoolSplice connector Large Wire is designed to work solid and stranded wire size 12 to 18 AWG. Both series are quick and easy to install, no need to strip the wire and no special tools required. The connectors include a sealed version, that is up to IPx8 rated (2 hours at 1 meter under water), for use in harsh environments. The wire termination can be done independently, allowing factory pre-termination, and can be completed in 2 simple steps: 1) insert the wire into an Insulation Displacement Contact (IDC) and 2) push down the button with a standard pair of pliers.
