There are a number of features and benefits that differentiate this product from other alternative approaches to wire splicing. Most notable are that these splices are smaller in size and lighter in weight than comparable termination methods. The transparent heat-shrinkable insulation sleeve provides environmental protection, strain relief and ease of inspection of the splice. The high performance sealing rings provide sealing to unetched wire insulations, including Teflon. The low profile eliminates the need to stagger wire splices which can be a time consuming process. Because these splices can be installed using current standard industry equipment, there is no need to invest in new tooling and it is also worth noting that these splices are RoHS compliant.
