“S.M.A.R.T.” stands for “Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology.” SMART is part of the ATA standard and is supported by all modern hard drives and most BIOS’s. SMART enables a user to utilize software to monitor the over health status of the FLASH device. SMART is supported by all modern Windows, Linux and Mac OS operating systems and drivers.
