In summary, PCB footprint is optimized with SiTime’s 32kHz and MHz reference clocks. It is the silicon MEMS technology that makes it possible to provide an oscillator in a tiny 1.2mm² footprint; ideal for wearable and mobile applications where space is critical. Furthermore, BOM savings is achieved with SiTime’s kHz and MHz oscillator solutions through the elimination of multiple discrete XTALs and load capacitors.
