The BBG and BBGW offer different connectivity options in order to connect with many different peripherals. However, the BBG had no wireless connectivity options onboard, and Seeed thought of making a difference by introducing the BeagleBone Green Wireless (BBGW) board. This board shares the same hardware components as the BBG, except additional connectivity options such as high performance flexible Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interfaces have been added. This makes the BBGW the first Wi-Fi/Bluetooth board of the BeagleBone family. The built-in 2.4 GHz TI WLinkTM8 Module with two antennas on the BBGW allows for the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Also, the onboard Ethernet port has been removed on the BBGW, and four additional USB 2.0 ports have been added on to the board.
