BP35C5 is a Wi-SUN FAN module which provides a built-in Wi-SUN FAN software stack, UART interface, and integrated RF, helping to reduce design hours and manufacturing processes for the customer. The BP35C5 module comes in a 15 mm x 19 mm SMD package. The BP35C5 has very low power consumption at about 40 mA when transmitting and 20 mA when receiving. However, what is unique about the BP35C5 Wi-SUN module is the deep sleep feature that is not available on any other product in the current market featuring Wi-SUN FAN 1.0. Deep sleep feature is achieved because the BP35C5 is not only an IC; instead, it is a module with an integrated MCU. The current consumption under deep sleep mode is about 13 µA.
