Switching voltage regulators with very low quiescent current help to expand battery life in IoT applications. ROHM offers three topologies on switching regulators: buck, boost, and buck-boost converters. Part number BD83070GWL is a synchronous buck-boost DC/DC converter providing 3.3 V or 2.5 V output from a single-cell Li-ion battery or other input between 2 V and 5.5 V. Quiescent VIN current is typically 2.8 µA. BU33UV7NUX is a synchronous boost DC/DC converter with low power consumption at about 7 µA when operating at low mode. Part number BD70522GUL is a low-current consumption buck DC/DC converter with an operating current of 180 nA. The output voltage can be set from 1.2 V to 3.3 V through changing external terminal connections. Evaluation boards are available to evaluate the performance of any of these low IQ switching regulators.
