LED-Slide2

An LED is a type of semiconductor diode that emits light. When the diode is forward biased, electrons are able to recombine with holes within the device and energy is released in the form of light. This light effect is called electroluminescence and the color of the light is determined by the energy band gap of the semiconductor. Choosing the right resistor for the power circuit of these LEDs is paramount.
