Battery-based DC-UPS systems require three components: AC to DC power supply with 24V output, DC-UPS controller, and a 12V battery or battery pair. PULS DC-UPS controllers decouple the output from in the input allowing buffered (backed up) and unbuffered branches. This allows users to backup critical components in order to use the smallest battery needed and/or achieve longer buffer times.
