how works
As current flows through the coil of the solenoid, a magnetic field is created. This magnetic field will then in turn attract or repel the armature depending on the orientation of its negative and positive poles. The movement of the armature caused by the magnetic attraction and repulsion is what creates the linear mechanical motion.
