A common concern among manufacturers that use similar boxes is the need to dissipate some heat as well as to make sure that the sealed enclosure does not create a catastrophic pressure build-up. The ECS is available with or without a vent to help alleviate these concerns. The vented version is on the right hand side of the image shown here. This breathable vent is manufactured by Gore, a leader in membrane technology. The environmental ratings of the enclosure remain the same with this vent, a critical component of the overall function and design. In addition, the ECS, while shown here in black, is available in a light gray color for absorbing less heat.
