In summary, polymer capacitors are made of a highly conductive polymer solid electrolyte which offers greatly improved conductivity vs. other electrolytes. This polymer is much more conductive than liquid electrolyte and tantalum, which leads to improved ESR and ripple current capacity. Conductive polymer also exhibits better life characteristics. Conventional capacitor technologies offer strong value propositions, but they no longer meet the requirements of today’s designs. Polymer capacitors offer technical advantages such as low ESR, small package size, improved stability, reliability, and safety. Panasonic polymer capacitors offer the easiest to use and most cost effective capacitor solution for modern designs.
