As can be seen in the top image on this slide, there are some fluctuations of the output signal caused by changes of the air temperature moving past the sensor. This creates an active conversion of the current into a voltage signal level which is done by using a condenser element and operational amplifier, allowing for noise reduction and more effective signal conversion compared to traditional FET type solutions used by other suppliers. With four times less noise to deal with, the frequency of false detections can be significantly reduced or even eliminated completely.
